I’m a fan of Tandberg and vintage hifi in general. An amateur with no schooling in electronics. My passion is to try to keep this equipment running and learning about analog electronics. It’s a hobby, not a profession.
“Silly project, this blog”, I thought at first. But having documented my first projects with photos and a “restoration diary” I uploaded it, perhaps it could be of use for someone else. Now it has grown beyond what I imagined at first.
Fellow Tandbergistas from other parts of the world have contacted me with questions and ask for help about their equipment. I am very happy to hear from you and help if I can. Some have even said I have inspired them to buy their first Tandberg receiver, that’s great!
For my Scandinavian readers / för mina Skandinaviska läsare
Bloggen var først og fremst opprettet for å hjelpe folk utenfor Skandinavia med å ta vare på Tandberg-utstyret sitt. Og for å spre kunnskap om hvilke fantastiske produkter det er. Det er ikke helt lett for dem som ikke snakker «Skandinavisk» å finne informasjon. Det finnes mange fans utenfor Skandinavia. Jeg får spørsmål og oppmuntring fra Tandberg-eiere i Polen, USA, Australia og andre land. Merker som Sansui og Luxman er høyt verdsatt i utlandet, men Tandberg er minst like bra, så min intensjon med nettstedet er delvis å spre kunnskap om Tandberg internasjonalt. Det sikrer at de blir tatt bedre vare på hvis de blir verdsatt og kjent.
